Time: 6:30 PM (Check in starts at 5:30 PM)
Details: The Awana Grand Prix™ is a Pinewood-Derby®-style racing event with a 50-year track record of fun and excitement. Clubbers create their very own Grand Prix race cars from kits consisting of a block of wood and a set of wheels and axles. Anyone can enter a new car built this year. Car kits are available for purchase ($2.50)! There will also be free snacks like hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, and drinks! Bring your whole family! You won’t want to miss it! We will be providing workshop nights on the four Wednesdays leading up to the event (Jan 20 & 27, Feb 3 & 10).
Transportation: Transportation can be available to race participants (and their parents). Those requiring the transportation must:
1. Have a car to race.
2. Contact the church office @ 248-625-2700 by 11 am, Friday, February 12th and leave a message with name of participant, name of parents (if also riding) and address.
